Bahamas Charitable Giving Foundation is a charitable foundation established in June 2016 under the provisions of the Foundations Act, 2004 of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. The Foundation’s purposes or objects have as their particular focus youth development, care for the elderly and the funding of medical research. The Foundation is governed by a Foundation Council consisting of Pierre Monnard, Peter G. Fletcher and Gary Larson.
Pierre Monnard started his Banking Career with Credit Suisse, for 17 years in different positions in Switzerland, London, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bahrain and in 1986 he moved to Nassau,where the Family choose to stay. He joined Nordfinanz Bank Zurich as Branch Manager and stayed for 9 years. In 1998 until today he acts in his own business as Financial Services Provider.
Peter G. Fletcher
A Bahamian citizen, Mr. Fletcher was educated in Canada and England. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales (Lincoln’s Inn) in 1992 and the Bahamas Bar in 1993. He is a partner in the Law
Firm of Holowesko Pyfrom Fletcher in Nassau and
his areas of practice are principally real estate transactions, trusts and estates, corporate law and securities industry law.
Mr. Larson has been professionally involved in Philanthropy and Financial Development with non-profit organizations for over 40 years in 3 countries. He was head of the non-profit, non-governmental, Bahamas National Trust for 20 years. Taking it from a mostly volunteer, underfunded organization to a professional one with secure funding. He built, managed and funded the Bahamas National Park System. He formally advised and worked closely with the PM and Government Ministerson: wildlife/resource conservation, environmental protection, historic preservation, sustainable development, sustainable tourism.
